Many people may of already heard of us before if not we are a language school based in London called Oxford House College. Over the past couple of years we have welcomed syudents from many different places of the country to our school to help them learn to speak English. We help students at all different levels of the language wether you have never spoken the language before or wether you would like to brush up on your English skills we can help you. Because we are very well known for helping students from a wide range of backgrounds we have a wide selections of general English courses for you to choose from. All of our courses at Oxford House College have been designed so that students get the very best understanding and to help them learn to read, write, speak and listen to the English language. The reason why we recommend so many students to join one of our courses is mainly because many countries all over the world now speak English. Not only that it can improve your career prospects dramatically. A lot of the general English courses will help the students study and improve on their grammar and vocabulary skills.

One of the main purposes of the general English courses at our language school in London is to help all of our students understand and learn the English language in general everyday situations. This may include going to the shops, bank or even getting on public transport. From the college library students will need to purchase a course book which they will use to study from throughout their course. Other resourses that students may require throughout the English course will be provided by the teacher of the course. At the start of each course students will need to take a test so then our language school knows what level of English you are currently at so we can place you with the correct group. All togeather there are approximatly six different levels of this course starting from beginner through to advanced. Students that are looking to apply for the general English courses should know that it takes 180 hours to complete the level you are studying and move on to the next one. Students should complete all six levels in order to have a better understanding of the English language.

Towards the end of every month in the academic year students will have a councilling session with their tutor so that they have the opportunity to discuss any strengths and weaknesses throughout the course so far. It also gives students the opportunity to discuss and difficulties they may be having.
